Leaving Home

I read one chapter last night before bed and look what I found...

Luke 18:29-30
"I tell you the truth," Jesus said to them, "no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will fail to receive many times as much in this age and, in the age to come, eternal life."

Best of luck, and better experiences buddy. I'm glad you are finally taking the leap.

Here are a few thoughts for you, though not of my own composition:

"Foreignness is an intoxicant. As when we're drunk, we don't know how much it's our true selves coming out and how much it's the drink speaking through us."
--Pico Iyer

"I was simply restless, quite likely because of a dissatisfaction with the recent trajectory of my life, and if there is a better, more compelling reason for dropping everything and moving to the end of the world, I don't know what is."
--J. Maarten Troost

"Decisions are far more difficult to make than actions are to take. We often put off doing something for as long as possible, then as we finally make the decision and step into the action, we're surprised by its relative ease. We're left to wonder why we dreaded doing it until we realize that most of life's actions are within our reach, but decisions take willpower."
--Robert McKee

It's a vast and wonderful world out there... don't forget to take some time along the way to stop and smell the roses :)
